Heavyweight Belt Vulcanization & Splicing Options
- Lap splices: the belt ends overlap and are bonded together.
- Finger splices: the ends are cut into interlocking fingers, which keeps the joint thin and flexible.
- Steel cable: the steel cords are laid out in a set pattern and vulcanized into the belt.
- Cold bonding: a chemical bond that cures without a heated press.
- Mechanical splices: metal fasteners that get a belt running again fastest.
