The VOLTA-FMB-3 DD is a homogeneous polyurethane (TPU) conveyor belt built for hygienic, positive drive conveying on wide lines and space-constrained layouts. Fabricated by Shipp Belting with a smooth top surface and a LUG-profiled bottom, it is sprocket-driven rather than friction-driven — eliminating the mistracking, slippage, and heavy tensioning of conventional belts. A 4-inch minimum pulley diameter lets it wrap tighter transfers and compact conveyor frames, while widths up to 80 inches support high-throughput product flow.
As a single non-porous piece with no fabric plies, the belt resists moisture absorption and bacterial harboring and cleans quickly under repeated washdown. It is both FDA compliant and USDA approved, and carries a blue cover for easy contaminant detection. With an operating range of −5°F to 140°F, a rated working tension of 33.6, and a 3 mm nominal thickness, it performs reliably from chilled rooms through ambient processing — a durable, sanitary solution that lowers water, chemical, and downtime costs.
