The ThermoDrive 8050 is a heavy-duty TPU conveyor belt built for sprocket-driven, positive drive conveying on demanding sanitary lines. Fabricated by Shipp Belting from homogeneous polyurethane (TPU) with a smooth top surface and a LUG-profiled bottom, it is driven by sprockets rather than friction — eliminating the mistracking, slippage, and heavy tensioning of conventional belts while carrying heavier loads than lighter-gauge ThermoDrive belts.
With a 3.5 mm nominal thickness and a 6.5-inch minimum pulley diameter, the 8050 is engineered for tougher, higher-load applications. As a single non-porous piece with no fabric plies, it resists moisture absorption and bacterial harboring, cleans quickly, and withstands repeated washdown. It is both FDA compliant and USDA approved, carries a blue cover for easy contaminant detection, and runs from 20°F to 140°F in widths up to 72 inches — a durable, sanitary solution that lowers water, chemical, and downtime costs.
